KEMAMPUAN SISWA KELAS III SLTP NEGERI.
SE-KECAMATAN SOMBA OPU KABUPATEN GOWA

The Ability of the Third Year Student Of Stated SLTPs at Somba Opu Diistrick Gowa regenc, To Write Composition in Indonesia (Supervised by Klla lagausi And Ahmad Tolla). This research aimed at discribing (1) the studens ‘ability in using speling und pingtuation marks, (2) their ability to choose approprite and cored words to form a suttence, (3) their ability to make efektive sentences , and(4) their ability to develop good and correst paragfhs. The population of the reseach consisted of te composition s of the thiurd years student of SLTPs in Somba Opu District, Gowa regency. The Smple s were taken by using random sampling. The data were analyzed by using desertive- qualitative analysis in the form of precentage thoungh tables. The result showed that (1) the studens” writing ability in term of spelling and functuation marks was good enoungh, (2) the student ability in diction was also good enoungh; (3) The students ability in making effective senrences was already good, and (4) the students “ ability in developing paragrafhs was also good enoungh. How ever , it is hoped thet the teachrs of Indonesian at SLTPs shoulds give intensive exercise in writing composition in Indonesia cdoncerning (1) the students “ability in using spelling and fungtuation marks, (2) their in choosing exact woods (diction) ,(3) tehir ability in making efektive sentences ,(4) their ability in developing coherent and cohesive paragraphs.
Populasi dan sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas III nSLTP Negeri se-Kecamatan Somba Opu sebanyak 115 orang siswa. Teknik penarikan sampel adalah random sampling. Teknik Analisis data enganh analisis kuantitatif dalam statistik deskriptif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan (1). Kemampuan menggunakan ejaan dan tanda baca, (2) Kemampuan memilih kata yang tepat untuk menyusun kalimat , (3) Kemampuan menyusun kalimnat efektif , (4) Kemampuan menyusun paragraf yang koheren dan kohesif.
